Quick Launch to Folders from the Windows TaskBar

This tip will allow you to launch directly into any of your favorite folders from the Windows TaskBar. This is one of my favorite time savers.
Step 1: Unlock the TaskBar
Make sure the Lock Toolbars option is not selected. Right click on an open spot on the Taskbar and un-select the Lock Toolbars option if it is selected.
Step 2: Make a folder to hold your shortcuts
Make a desktop folder by right clicking on any open spot on the desktop, select “New”, and then “Folder”. Give it a short but meaningful name. I have one at work called “Clients”.
Step 3: Make shortcuts. Put them in your folder
Collect shortcuts for your favorite folders and place them in this new folder. To make a shortcut of a folder, right click the folder and select “Create Shortcut”. Drag these shortcuts into your folder.
Step 4: Add your Folder as a new Toolbar to your Taskbar
Add this folder to your TaskBar as a new Toolbar. Do this by right clicking on an open spot on the taskbar, select “Toolbars”, select “New Toolbar…”, find your new folder listed under the Desktop, click OK.
Step 5: Adjust your Taskbar as needed, enjoy.
Arrange your Taskbar by dragging sections where desired. I like my Folders to be on the right next to where the time is displayed. If some of the shortcuts in your folder are showing in the Taskbar, drag the seperator bar over to the right so that only the folder name appears. To access a folder, click on the >> next to the folder name and the folders will do a drop down (or drop up from the bottom) and you can select them from there.
